In 2024, thanks to the generosity of our Fore One Purpose community, we raised $50,000 to support Elly’s Team — a foundation established by Elly’s family to advance research for NEDAMSS (Neurodevelopmental Disorder with Regression, Abnormal Movements, Loss of Speech, and Seizures).
This ultra-rare condition has fewer than 150 diagnosed cases worldwide, with no readily available treatment. The support from our community helps fuel critical research efforts and bring visibility to a condition that so few have heard of — but that deeply impacts families like Elly’s.

Talia is a courageous young woman living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 4J (CMT4J), a progressive and ultra-rare disease.
Through our 2025 Fore One Purpose event, we were honored to donate $50,000 to CureCMT4J, supporting Talia and her family’s relentless efforts to advance a potential treatment.
Today, that commitment is reflected in meaningful progress. Through CureCMT4J’s partnership with Elpida Therapeutics, a gene therapy program has received Orphan Drug and Rare Pediatric Disease Designations, along with IND clearance. With grant funding from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM), the program is advancing toward anticipated patient dosing in early to mid-2026.
Together, philanthropic support and scientific partnership help translate advocacy and determination into tangible momentum.
Rare disease research and support is a long journey — one that requires all of us. With your help, The Andelyn Foundation can continue turning awareness into action and compassion into hope — for deserving families waiting to be seen, supported, and understood.
